It's so hard to say goodbye..
I seriously need to think about what I want to do with my life...Medicine is just not it...Are we supposed to go through life this miserably? :(
In other news, my sister's married! Holy moly! I'm only 1 year younger! No thoughts, even, about getting married yet!
Shit really does happen..I was on call the other day. Was trying to get some sleep, when the nurse barged in and said:
"Doc, there's a patient outside, making a ruckus. He wants to go home"
Me: (groggily) Huh, huh? Which patient?
Nurse: The uncle we gave that bottle of fleet to. (Fleet induces pretty severe diarrhoea to clean out your bowels for a colonoscopy the coming morning...Yeap, nasty stuff)
Me: (still blur) Huh, huh? Which uncle?
Nurse: (Quite desperate by now): Doc, come and see for yourself.
Me: Right-o
I went out. Oh. That uncle. That uncle who seemed pretty normal that morning when i chatted with him. That uncle. Who is now shouting obscenities at my nurses, Literally pooped in the middle of the ward floor (to make his point about being upset over the fleet, I reckon). Walking around like a deranged lunatic. Demanding to go home. Yelling. Still stalking around my ward, dripping shit. Jebus. What the hell. He took his basket (yes, a basket) of clothes and said he's going home. Good night. (This was at 2 am in the morning). And he walked out of the ward.
Huhuhuh.
Jebus.
10. Medical school prepared you adequately for life as a doctor.....Yes[ ]...Hell No [ ]
Huh. Bollocks.

I'm currently watching Gossip Girl.Fluffy, ditzy, scandalous stuff, it's good for the soul after another mind-boggingly routine day at work.
Speaking of work, yes, I'm a working girl now. Although, at 26 I don't reckon you'd call me a girl anymore. I've been through Paediatrics, ObGyn, and Surgery. I've lost a few pounds, thn gained it all back. 24-hr calls are a dime a dozen. I've had my share of emergencies and slogging from crazy bosses. Life isn't as glamourous as it is on Grey's anatomy. I wish it was.
If I had the chance, I won't do it over again.

Yes, I am guilty of lapping up the season's blockbusters. As a kid, I remember shunning Transformers for cartoons with more sophisticated storylines like My Little Pony and Smurfs (rotfl). I can only remember Optimus Prime as the rather fugly-looking red and blue truck. However, when the Transformers logo started appearing in trailers last year, I was dead excited. I mean, I rather doubt they'd have a movie remake of Smurfs (imagine Papa Smurf in his red hat and tunic, I mean, they did a great job with Gollum and all, but there's only so much CGI can achieve) or My Little Pony for that matter (it'd be quite dificcult to get ponies of rainbow colours without being cruel to the animals). So I scrambled along with everyone else amidst full houses in kl cinemas for a ticket. Have you checked the cinemas lately? It's like, all of a sudden, everyone's stopped buying pirated wares and coming out in full force to watch movies legally. I tried at least 3 times to get the Transformers tickets before this. It's quite a nightmare. I have taken to watching late night reruns of kiddie series on Disney channel during my holidays, and have gotten quite atached to Even Stevens, starring Shia La Beouf as the cheeky Louis Stevens, who always manage to get himself into awful scrapes but always come through in the end. I thought Shia would have a more serious role in Transformers. But I am glad to see that it's just a grown up Louis, still as klutzy as ever and still coming through somehow. I really liked Transformers. After that much of robotic onslaught in the cinema, I half expected my cute little Kelisa to transform and roll out on the way home. Transform! Jeng jeng jeng!

I really liked Amelie, cause Audrey Tatou was so perfect as the quirky lead, so I was interested in this movie with her in it: It's about this social climber hottie, Irene (Audrey Tatou), who was about to net a rather large catch at the start of the movie, a wealthy, lonely old man. On her birthday, she met this guy, Jean (Gad Elmaleh) who works as a bartender in the hotel Irene was staying in. Through a twist of circumstances, she thought he was a rich guy, who smokes asspansive cigars with tobacco leaves grown with cocoa. They totally got it on and the next morning, she left, just like that. Jean sighed, and moved on with his life. A year later, she was back, in the same hotel. Old guy finally gave her the stone, and she thought she was set for life. She was back in the same hotel, and met up with the same 'rich' guy, same time, same place. And through another carefully placed coincidence found only in cliche chick flicks, the old guy saw them getting it on in the bar. And she was dumped on her birthday. Calculative Irene immediately packed her bags and decided to move on to the next big catch, Jean. Armed with her pitiful "I left everything for you" line, she moves in. Jean, of course, said nothing. The truth came crashing down hard on her in the most embarrassing way possible - getting caught in bed in an empty hotel suite unpaid for, next to the hotel bartender. By a family with little kids. She dumped him. He, however, was smitten and followed her, and totally creeped out a potential catch by stalking them on a date. Irene, furious, decided to bleed him dry, clearing out his entire savings, bonds, shares, and pension plan in one day. You kinda want to slap the guy to his senses, take him by the shoulders and shake him upside down. At that point, the movie got rather too chick-flicky for even me. After she dumped him for the second time, Jean was left to foot the ridiculous hotel bill which he couldn't pay. And that was how he became, as my friend put it, an accidental gigolo. Irene and Jean met, through another fleet of coincidences, each entertaining their sugar daddy/mommy while totally getting it on with each other. Irene was all approvy-like and even thought him the trades of social ladder climbing. And then she fell in love. I suppose I've said too much about the movie. Happy ending? What do you think? :p Priceless was a cute movie and rather likeable. However, it did not make me smile the way Amelie did. I did not feel the chemistry between the two leads and when they kiss, I kept thinking how weird it is for actors to have to make out with their colleagues. It did not set off fireworks or made my heart ache with hopeless romanticisms :p Next! Au revoir!

If anyone can recommend me some anime along the lines of Ouran High School Host Club or The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I would be most obliged.

OF MT COOKS AND LAKE WAKATIPUS
Family vacation in like, yonks and yonks. Why New Zealand? My dad spent a good part of his youth studying in Wellington, and since he retires this year, he thought he'd go back for a visit. He just didn't know the whole family was tagging along :p We started out on a Saturday (May 19th). The flight was rather exciting at first...my first long distance flight. And there were on-demand in-flight movies. Whoo! Airplane food! Whoo! After a few hours, I changed my mind. It was a darn pain in the ass, sitting around for that long with the earphones digging into your flesh :p It was an experience, however, and I will always remember it. We arrived! We arrived! On Sunday. As the cool breeze of a new country swept gentle kisses on my face, I was convinced that Malaysian's humid weather will never endear to me again. Little did I know, five days later I'd be willing to lick the sweaty skin of my back just to have temperature above 20 degrees again :p However, it was initially a nice change, the weather. People jog at 11am in the morning there. Heck, they even play rugby at 2pm. We checked into Tuscana Motor Lodge (I reckon the owner has OCD. You can eat off the floor). Terribly jetlagged, I slept most of the afternoon. Infact, I slept a whole lot in NZ, jetlagged or no. Must be the shorter daylight hours :p It's dark by 5:30pm and you can barely see by 6pm. And it wasn't like Sabah where the sun rises annoyingly at 6am either, the days were just shorter. The day after, we immediately packed for Queenstown. Busride. Busride. Busride. I've developed this phobia for busrides now. We spent so much time on a bus, getting from one town to the other. New Zealand is vastly fields, fields, mountains, lakes, sheeps, and fields. Frankly, before I came here, I thought it'd be more of a developed-country-type with lots of skyscrapers and stuff. I mean, I know it has mountains and all, but no skyscrapers? Hell I was wrong about New Zealand. Journeys from one city/state? to the other is freaking long. The view, however, was MAGNIFICENT. There's only so many mountains you can take, however, I soon got a crick in me neck from extending it in excitement looking at sheeps crossing the road, and fell asleep. Slept a lot on the buses :p The bus drivers were an entirely different story. Most of them give commentaries, and we had a few characters. The first busdriver, Mr. Sweetass (No, he didn't have a sweetass, he just kept saying 'sweetass') was rather entertaining but long-winded. I also did not realise that New Zealand is steeped in culture, and he spent a lot of time telling old Maori stories and how the names of the mountains, lakes, and things like that came about. Busdriver #2 was rather quiet, didn't like him much anyway, cause he almost left us stranded in Cromwell, the bastard :p And Rolland. I swear, my sisters have crushes on this guy. He has a really pleasant voice, like those voice used in adverts, or airport announcements with the 'ding, ding ding, ding' at the end of it, no kidding. He was really funny too, the possum at the side of the road story being one of the funniest story. And I suppose he holds a special place in ELZ's heart after the whole chasing after the bus incident :p Queenstown. Imagine waking up to a spectacular view of the mountains everyday. We checked out some properties there and man, they were pricey :p I will set up a retirement getaway there. Someday. Off we went to Milford Sound the next day. View, again, was crazy gorgeous. Weather was, just plain fucking crazy. It was cold like hell and I went around looking like a dork, bundled up in my red fat jacket most of the time. Saw a reverse waterfall, where the wind is so strong, it blows the waterfall back the other way. A fascinating first for me. Dunedin. Home of the chocolate factory :o) Did not tour the factory, but bought helluva lots of chocolates :o) Happy happy happy. Though most of the chocs were for giving away :p Back to Christchurch. Went for a walk at the Botanical Park. Started out early but only got there at 1pm-ish. Was distracted by roadside performers along the way. They juggle, dance, sing, act. And they're actually good, unlike some stuff you get in Malaysia :p The food. FIsh & chips..mmmm...Hot meatpies...mmm...We must have eaten 3 or 4 meatpies each in that week :p I had a plate of nyin nyong which costed NZ $ 9 = RM 25!! :0 And then, all too sudden, it was time to go home...Though all the walking made me miss my car, and all the frostbite made me miss the warmth of the sun, I loved this vacation. New Zealand is such a GORGEOUS country. It's only been a week since I came back, and already I miss it terribly. Reached Malaysia the next Saturday, and almost kissed the ground cause the flight was another agonising 13 hours :p

HERE'S LOOKING AT YOU, KID
This is it. I've finally crossed that goddamned bridge. This is the big picture. This is the first day of the rest of my life.
Funny, I thought I would have more to rave about than this. Things are always exaggerated pre-exams :p
I was going to paint the town red. I was going to get drunk. I had big plans on getting stoned. I was going to touch the sky.
My first dinner as an MD was fast food. My first movie as an MD was the scary-ass, run-or-get-your-guts-chewed-out movie, 28 days later. I spent 80% of the movie covering my eyes.
Yes, I am boring like that.
